I picked up a new pasttime, wire-wrapping. Here is a simple piece I made of sterling silver and jasper. Twisting the metal is somehow therapeutic. Please excuse the wife-beater.<br />

The days go so quickly now, running alongside the years. This is Diana's finger. And her pointer. (the dog AND the finger, ha ha). I used to ravenously read and read Greek mythology in elementary school. I knew exactly who had sprung from whose head, and who they poisoned later with the help of what beast after having fathered how many children with which water sprite. While I have been absent for an inexcusably long time, my faithful following of about three (you know who you are) have no doubt been questioning my dedication to this blog. This goose is from the gardens at the place I work. I should have been writing a review, but spent all day and night at work and decided it was more fun to take photos today. The goose was very cooperative. I regularly enjoy his culinary projects. However, this is a guest photo - by him! We purchased these blueberries as a family at the state Farmer's market en bulk - flats of fruit off the truck. That's the only way to go. We bought a huge box of bananas, a crate of mangoes, one of purple onions, and some enormous canteloupes and papaya. I can't wait to go back.<br /><div></div>SLChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01922693436315992152noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10734537739885402.post-14572388774316035842008-08-02T21:28:00.003-04:002008-08-02T21:30:46.806-04:00Wedding Bouquet<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCLh_A3tVufWG3D54wS2mkdJffEGHNRzDixmU5u7xpjFDnqNN_isF5AaiNOCtEQ5yCk9AEiMc3_27jAUq2rsrHykyhcF-SZ8_hhEpzFea41L3C8zBH0pa_jyaRE4a8RH4epFIeaDM3Dg/s1600-h/wedding+flowers.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5230097655569471858" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCLh_A3tVufWG3D54wS2mkdJffEGHNRzDixmU5u7xpjFDnqNN_isF5AaiNOCtEQ5yCk9AEiMc3_27jAUq2rsrHykyhcF-SZ8_hhEpzFea41L3C8zBH0pa_jyaRE4a8RH4epFIeaDM3Dg/s400/wedding+flowers.JPG" border="0" /></a> Enjoyed the local wedding of my acquaintance J to her new husband, also J!<br /><div></div>SLChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01922693436315992152noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10734537739885402.post-74628873275792931512008-07-19T16:04:00.005-04:002008-07-19T16:27:26.671-04:00Wyoming<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTH8g3RjUtW-FljG8dvRFUg2PTTZJQtJxI5g7SiTgxutF4aAkiJ42iIDEMX_Hr2zgRvqQBsSk9klYyp5778FG8-PXRiDgfp2TGQtcFlcHZJusC-E_ijpy8bTveEhR9p1D47E-lPPJi0A/s1600-h/010305+058R.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5224822377958810514" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTH8g3RjUtW-FljG8dvRFUg2PTTZJQtJxI5g7SiTgxutF4aAkiJ42iIDEMX_Hr2zgRvqQBsSk9klYyp5778FG8-PXRiDgfp2TGQtcFlcHZJusC-E_ijpy8bTveEhR9p1D47E-lPPJi0A/s400/010305+058R.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG_R6E8vsR26WwRlavDdEtiEFJd3r0P5EwirEnMHmCzkib2wZx6k13qMW5H_Od5_leF41DwBLbJWSqCPpcD8965e3dDRL1HKX9yx1-NLw_19BpIZ1ceOBj3HqTgrgQHn0u4eS0IY9rfA/s1600-h/010305+040R.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5224822378251333666" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG_R6E8vsR26WwRlavDdEtiEFJd3r0P5EwirEnMHmCzkib2wZx6k13qMW5H_Od5_leF41DwBLbJWSqCPpcD8965e3dDRL1HKX9yx1-NLw_19BpIZ1ceOBj3HqTgrgQHn0u4eS0IY9rfA/s400/010305+040R.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Busy busy busy. I immediately ran and began snapping (ha ha) photos of this new subject. He was very shy though not averse to having his portrait done. I put him in a box so that when I returned from church I could continue the photoshoot. Alas. All that remained in the box when I got back were two sordid presents and no signs of the reptilian model. Too bad. I was really looking forward to some good shots. And I was planning to return him to the wild! I would have been the Annie Liebowitz of turtles : )</div>SLChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01922693436315992152noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10734537739885402.post-17104948049106911702008-06-22T15:02:00.002-04:002008-06-22T15:06:38.907-04:00Garden of Earthly Delights<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieqU38Kflg1yv2gDZCynMBF6rP-AJKv8pSjY5vGoYGEHtYz0yoO4d8vZwb_OyxNWxpN6iyQH59JZ7LZSGvg9IzSK57XxXTdIZ2zHpgW1gx0BUaKgVKWPIGY6UllpRIfRZ5JytX-zpvew/s1600-h/bee.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214783693896774290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieqU38Kflg1yv2gDZCynMBF6rP-AJKv8pSjY5vGoYGEHtYz0yoO4d8vZwb_OyxNWxpN6iyQH59JZ7LZSGvg9IzSK57XxXTdIZ2zHpgW1gx0BUaKgVKWPIGY6UllpRIfRZ5JytX-zpvew/s400/bee.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixK1SY_b53FuCd29Pt0uOEQjmocKAYICsAXW_gBDrJkKhWZW_CcEj2GZ58mlJSXD10COZaGD_MKbE_zrzUm5jP2n_BJ5_ouw4J7X-rhT8MO0YR55FxQl3c9XEqgvzZiOQJfo045i_MZw/s1600-h/boy+sculpture.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214783697072890738" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixK1SY_b53FuCd29Pt0uOEQjmocKAYICsAXW_gBDrJkKhWZW_CcEj2GZ58mlJSXD10COZaGD_MKbE_zrzUm5jP2n_BJ5_ouw4J7X-rhT8MO0YR55FxQl3c9XEqgvzZiOQJfo045i_MZw/s400/boy+sculpture.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMkJ4muxOUsl4p5Y4UxEbe32Ga_oU2AVZwvdgNWeQYCXcubMlOirRikv6CNmPxjcPrdtDfQ1CjkwFRLVJwdfoZ7DSfpM0_3YigcdSobAot-zMOreDepQ8vBUrHp95l-kc7l2qsGwxoPg/s1600-h/orange+flowers.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214783694633092450" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMkJ4muxOUsl4p5Y4UxEbe32Ga_oU2AVZwvdgNWeQYCXcubMlOirRikv6CNmPxjcPrdtDfQ1CjkwFRLVJwdfoZ7DSfpM0_3YigcdSobAot-zMOreDepQ8vBUrHp95l-kc7l2qsGwxoPg/s400/orange+flowers.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Sorry, it's been so long since I've posted anything! Got caught up at work. Anyways, I have been taking photos all along, and sewing some things. Just haven't had time to put them up. Here are some pics I took in April. The garden at Big U campus was actually kind of dry. It was super hot. I took a lot of shots but most of them did not turn out as I hoped. I have a couple I'm working on to improve, will put them up later. These I've just cropped.</div>SLChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01922693436315992152noreply@blogger.com1
